Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig in September 21 in 1983. She is an American actress best known for her role as Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV show Lost. Born in Worthington Ohio, she dropped out of high school in order to relocate in Los Angeles with her mother when her parents separated. Her first role came to her as Rachel's Room's lead character in 2001, despite having a difficult time with finances. In 2002, she was nominated for a Young Artist Award with her part as the 15-year-old murder victim Martha Moxley. Grace Rutherford's character she played in Lost from 2004 to 2005 was selected for an Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace was forced to quit the show in order to focus on her acting career. The actress had been on the show with Tom Welling opposite in The Fog earlier in the year 2005. The following year, she starred in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club and also, as Liam Neeson's Kim Mills as Kim Mills in Taken. Taken 2 (2012), Taken 3 2014 and Taken 4 (2014) are her re-casts of these characters. Grace returned to her role as Shannon in Lost, including the finale. In 2013, she appeared in the sixth season of Californication. The actress plays Faith a groupie and a muse to the stars who captures the eye of Hank Moody played by David Duchovny. Part of the Gyllenhaal family She is the daughter of film makers Stephen Gyllenhaal and Naomi Achs and the older sibling of actor Jake Gyllenhaal. Her first roles were in films of her father as an adolescent. With her brother, she appeared on the screen in Donnie Darko (2000). Later, she was as a character in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind and Mona Lisa Smile (both 2002). Gyllenhaal has received acclaim from critics for her leading performances in the erotic romance comedy drama Secretary (2002) and in the drama Sherrybaby (2006) each of which earned her an Golden Globe Award nomination. She had numerous films that were commercially successful, including World Trade Center. However it was her performance as Rachel Dawes that brought her greater attention for her performance in The Dark Knight (2008). Following her acclaimed performance as a mother who is not married in Crazy Heart (2009), she earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. The following years she was a part of comedies and dramatic films: Nanny McPhee & the Big Bang (2010) Hysteria 2011 and Won't Back Down 2012. Her other roles includes Secret Service agents in White House Down (2013 Action thriller) as well as actors in Frank (2014 Drama The Kindergarten Teacher 2018) in addition to The kindergarten teacher. Gyllenhaal debuted as a writer and director in 2021, with her psycho-drama The Lost Daughter. For the film, she won an award for the Best Screenplay Award at the Venice International Film Festival and received nominations for the Academy Award.
