Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, the daughter of a musician from Mexico was born into a music-loving family. The music she grew up with was classical, old boleros as well as classic romantic songs and the Ranchero style. Ana is passionate about tangos and opera, as well as all dramatic performances. Ana began learning to play the piano and sing in the early years together with her mom. She received more formal vocal training when she reached the age of 16 old with the renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. The training in music continued at the School of Music of Guadalajara University. Then, she enrolled in The School of Sacred Music of Toluca. The beginning of her professional career saw her perform with many chamber ensembles and opera choruses in Guadalajara. When she moved from Mexico to America at the age of 2000, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and often performs as a soloist with traditional Latin American music at private events. Her love and passion for music, art, and performing has her involved with a variety of local initiatives as a performer and teacher. Ana is also an ex-member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana hopes, with her performance songs from Latin American traditional songs, that she will bring about a desire, specifically among the younger generation, for keeping this music in the present.
